Behavioral Health Integration (BHI)

QC recognizes the need to better integrate the behavioral and physical healthcare needs of patients in order to improve health and healthcare. With funding from MEHAF to promote this integration, QC in partnership with Aroostook Mental Health Services, has led an effort to develop and implement a set of performance measure. This initial 1 year pilot identified measures that are now going to be tested in a three year statewide initiative. The goal of the "Behavioral Health Metrics System" initiative is to identify a set of measure of behavioral health integration that will be used and reported on to drive improvements in this area, much as physical health measures are currently reported through Pathways to Excellence program.
