Womens Behavioral Health Initiative

The Collaborative is focused on improving the behavioral health delivery systems for women of reproductive age who are experiencing mental illness, addiction, or co-occurring disorders. The project emphasizes patient-centered care and sustainable approaches to behavioral health care access in primary care. The project received a grant from the Health Resources & Services Administration to the Maine Department of Health and Human Services for a three year period. The first year was devoted to planning and the second and third year will be spent in implementation.
